At Union City Wesleyan Church, guests and visitors are always welcome! We hope you will join us for a service and we want to make that visit as comfortable as possible. Feel free to let us know that you are coming by texting the word guest to 517-317-6779, that way we can plan for your visit.
Our church is located at 202 St. Joseph St. in Union City, Mi. The best parking is on our east side, between the church and the neighboring park. If you look in front of the sidewalk running between the red office door entrance and the blue street door entrance, you’ll find a couple of posted visitor parking spots. Please feel free to use one of those.
We do lock all of our exterior doors other than the blue street entrance doors at 10:45am on Sundays to ensure the safety of our children. And most people begin to fill our sanctuary about 10:30am, so plan on arriving sometime between 10:30-10:45.
Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church, for we truly believe people should come to God as they are. You don't need to dress up to get his approval--that comes through Jesus' sacrifice. Once you walk in the doors, you'll see that the congregation has all types of people in all kinds of dress. While a few people in the church wear ties, others like to remind them that Jesus never wore a tie. Shorts are as welcome as suits, and you'll see both.
If you come in through the blue street doors, you’ll find the sanctuary and some greeters just to the right of the doors. If you come in through the red office doors, you’ll find the sanctuary by following the signs to the left and then up the stairs. Our greeters will be glad to answer any questions or lead you to the nursery if you need it.
Be sure to hang around after the service. It takes the pastor a few minutes most Sundays to get to the back. Pastor Dan would love to meet you, if he hasn’t already met you before the service started. Also, make sure you receive your gift before you leave and fill out the contact card as we’d love to add you to our database so you will receive church-wide emails and text alerts.
